3/8/25. We can't believe our DOCKER hasn't been snatched up yet. This 100-pound, 1.5-year-old gorgeous Dobie boy is friendly with everyone he meets and has quickly become a volunteer favorite with his easygoing temperament. As he came from the shelter, his history is a mystery, but he's definitely had some training under his belt. He seems to prefer the company of humans over other dogs, so he would need to be the only dog. He is very strong, so he will definitely need a large-breed-savvy, strong adopter. This boy is a gem. Don't let him get away.

2/14/25. Meet Docker. This absolutely adorable 3-year-old Dobie boy has already captured the hearts of all the volunteers with his wonderful disposition. He came to us from a shelter up North, so not a lot of history is known about him, but this big 93-pound boy never met a human he didn’t love. He seems to know some basic commands and is smart and eager to please. He rides great in the car and walks great on a leash. Not sure he’s a fan of other dogs, but we have not tried him with a calm female yet. May be best as the only prince in the house. Cats unknown, so we will not put him in that situation. Lucky is the family who adopts this stunning Dobie boy.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
