9/13/24  Layla was at the vet today for pre-op evaluation and she was shown to have a clear EKG, and will have her spay surgery.

9/7/24  Layla's History:  A pair of starving Dobermans were rescued in Hollywood, and concerns about their condition and treatment arose. The dogs were found to have prior issues and were put on a watch list, leading to a mandatory 'Spay and Neutering' requirement before being returned to the owner.

Challenges and concerns emerged as efforts were made to address the dogs' well-being. The owners' response to the situation, including threats and reluctance to comply with the spaying and neutering requirement, led to the involvement of the police for safety measures. Despite the difficulty, steps were taken to ensure the dogs' well-being and safety.

Ultimately, one of the Dobermans was neutered, while the other was found to have a heart murmur and was surrendered to the shelter. The text concludes with the reassurance that one of the dogs, Layla, is now safe with the rescuer, and a message is directed towards the former owners, expressing a willingness to continue helping their other dogs and hoping they reconsider the treatment of their animals.

We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
